Torch

For brazing can i just use a MAAP torch? Is the MAAP with the oxygen better for it?

What rods are best for steel?

If the parts being brazed are small, you may heat them up to a too high of temp. Just be careful as to where your flame is pointed and how far away the flame tip is to your work.

I use a MAPP torch and it works great, at work I tried using the OXY and MAPP torch and I was overheating the brake line. If you choose to go with the MAPP and you use one of those little hand held bottles I found it best to keep the work about one inch from the tip of the nozzle.
