Default Small, powered driver with a chuck?

In a post somewhere that I can no longer find for the life of me... somebody posted a picture of a small, electric screwdriver type thing. Most importantly though, instead of the typical hex chuck you usually find, this one had a little keyless chuck like a drill.

It *might* have been made by Black & Decker, but I am not sure about that...

Has anyone seen the post I am talking about? Or, does anyone know of a similar tool? I want one bad, and it's driving me nuts not being able to find it!

Thanks

Same here. I got a little palm driver with a lithium batt. Small and works great, but hex. I'd love to find a chuck conv. or adaptor or something. If you find something, please post.

I was searching around some more last night and found this:

It's not what I am looking for, but could certainly be used to accomplish the same thing.

I can't see it on the card or missed it on the link. Does it just fit in any standard hex type driver, be it a screw driver type or in my case the lil palm hex driver ?

From the description at Amazon:

Quote:
1/4" Keyless Chuck converts Skil Twist, Super Twist and other 1/4" hex shank screws into a drill.
So, I have to assume it will work on any typical 1/4 hex driver.

I have one of those, it has the standard 1/4 drive to fit a electric screwdriver. It works great as a keyless chuck however it cannot be spun in reverse as for whatever reason the chuck loosens that way. Electric screw drivers spin far to slow be useful as a drill.

I don't want to use this as a drill; I already have collected more corded and cordless drills over the years than I care to admit!

What I want to be able to do is clamp the bits from my allen driver sets (with 3mm round shafts) into the chuck. That way, I can save a little wear and tear on the wrist when assembling, say... beadlocks with 96 allen bolts!

Thanks for the heads-up on not working in reverse!

Then buy hex bits.

OR

Is it that they are too short?

Something like this with metric sizes.

Already have a second set of (3mm shaft) tips kicking around. Plus, after using hardened tip drivers, I don't ever want to go back to cheap, soft, quick wearing pieces again...

I just chuck the tips of my losi wrenches into my big cordless drill to save my wrist.

Could you just use some of these?

It would get expensive if you needed more than one size, though.

Exactly what I do now... Just looking for something with a little less jam and easier to fling around!

I probably wouldn't be so hung up on this if I hadn't seen a post in here about it somewhere...

Perfect example of what I am after, except (I think) they all have hex drives. I'm after one with a keyless chuck!

Hmmm... I've never seen those. But if I bought 1.5mm, 2mm, 3mm and some standard sizes, it would probably cost as much as a whole new electric driver!
