Harris Safety Silv 45 or 56 and flux. It can be purchased at welding supply stores, or online. It's pretty expensive, but goes a long way, and works great. It can be used on thinner brass, steel, and stainless. You can use a Mapp gas torch, but an oxy-acetylene torch with a small brazing tip works best. I did all this with Safety Silv 45, it's 18 ga. brass.
