How are you liking your Taig? I think I am going to settle for a Taig, they are cheap and as little as I am going to use it, it will most likely work fine for me.

The grizzly I have has been tweaked quite a bit, brass side plates, lapped bed and ways, all metal gears in headstock, qctp, full carbide insert tools digital read out, the standard 3 jaw chuck might be bit big for really small work, but my 4" 3 jaw has runout just under .0005, and yes that is the correct reading ,and the 3 jaw is not independent. I would check the 7x12 yahoo group if your going that route , or even the taig yahoo group ,and someone also mentioned cnczone.

The standard chuck may be a bit large for small work, and there are smaller chucks aval 2" and larger 4,5" that do fit and work well with the mini lathes.
