Need some user imput. I believe the losi MRC rod ends are 3mm correct? What type of hardware are you ordering to screw into the delrin and allow the rod ends to screw onto? Large extended set screws, threaded rod or? And what size? and which drill bit?

I don't know what hardware the MRC uses for links......yet. I need to correct mine this weekend.
I need to assume it's 2 or 2.5mm. What I typically do is thread the link and drive a standard long cap screw in the hole. Then I cut the head off and bevel the corners of the threads.
Long screws are much easier to find quickly than long set screws.

Correction!!!
RcBro......you're absolutely right!!
The link ends are 3mm, sweet.

But take my word for it, the MRC rod ends are weak. Not much we can do about it until someone makes better ones or we find a source.

So do this, rather than threading the screw into a link and cutting the head off.........screw into the rod end fully. Be careful not to over tighten it, it'll bind the ball up. Then cut the head off and thread into the link.

Making sure the rod end threads do not have a weak void inside will ensure their strength as much as possible.

I'm starting on mine now.

Nice job Stormin!

Have you ever seen an external chamfering tool? I did a quick search and found these for $15.

It does external and internal, perfect for delrin and will perfect the looks of the links for a scaler.

BTW, I love your use of wooden rulers

PMs returned and latest shipment went out today.
