Does anyone make a 5.5mm hobby Wrench?? Does anyone make a 5.5mm hobby wrench?? Seems like it is impossible to get to the lock nuts that hold on the links of my scx10 with the "T Wrench" or nut drivers. Would hate to use pliers and mess up the nuts over time. The Forum wont let me respond with a reply: I ended up purchasing a 5.5mm and 7mm from McMaster Carr - It is an Armstrong Polished Professional, they were about 9 Dollars each. |
Re: Does anyone make a 5.5mm hobby Wrench?? I've got this little Armstrong wrench. Way better than the team associated one. http://www.tossedman.com/images/bully/wrench.jpg I also have this set from Sears. Craftsman 10 pc. Metric Combination Ignition Wrench Set I sometimes put a small piece of masking tape on the box end to hold the nut in a confined space until the threads start. Cheers eh, Todd |

Re: Does anyone make a 5.5mm hobby Wrench?? x2 on the Craftsman set...and use some blue painter's tape on the closed end to hold your nuts in place. Best trick I ever taught my self!"thumbsup" |

Re: Does anyone make a 5.5mm hobby Wrench?? buy the snap on wrench. I have all the other wrenches mentioned and have bought 6 fro my snap on guy and they are by far the best wrench of them all. the box end is taller buy about 2mm and the open end has a tighter tolerance than the others. my crapsmen set, the 5mm open end fits also and they are new in the bag. I am not trying to discount the others by any means. I am just trying to get you the best wrench for the money. btw, they are only about $10.00 a piece. |
