Default Shock Mounts/ Lower link mounts

ok, whats the best way to mount shocks on a locked out maxx end? please post pics. Also how should i mount the lower link mounts on the lower a-arm?

I mounted my shocks on the end of the links. I used some 1/4" cable clamps with tape around the link so they wouldn't slide around.

Another easy way is just to make a lower shock mounting bracket.



Feel free to use this example from our Maxx Crawler Kit....

never have dealt with locking out stock arms, but always run the shocks to the ends of the axles if at all possible.It helps fight the torque twist.you can tell a very big difference when mounted on axle compared to links

i think i will mount the shocks like toyofast did (on the upper a arm. and i made some lower link mounts that go where the stock shock mounts are on the lower a arm.

Toyo's are mounted on the lower links not the uppers. Just an FYI in case you missed that.

Shock mounts are 1/2" steel that has been filed and drilled and the link mounts are 1/4" aluminum.
