Default Traxxas X maxx.

I don't know if this is the right area to post it but I just picked this up tonight! Wow is it big!

The yeti looks so small.

Second time out and I snapped a rim. I was landing crooked off a six foot landing so it's def. my fault. Looks like I figure out a way to use other manufacturer rims until they release new styles.

Losi 5 stuff will fit the hex, just have to come up with a washer or something to be able to reuse the truck's 17mm wheelnut.

Good call. I don't think any one local carries them so looks like eBay it is.

This is the hex axle shaft end.

I love the picture of the Traxxas sitting on top of the Yeti. I built a buggy that uses the Yeti body with Losi XXL drivetrain with a Summit tranny and motor mount to get a buggy that holds up to brushless power and large tires.

Just ordered a new pair of Xmaxx rims off eBay. They are starting to get things out there. Next thing I want to get are some control arms and complete shocks lol.

Looks like a new esc is in order!

New esc going in. Any one interested in the stock esc when I get it replaced by traxxas? It's under 30 days so I should get a replacement for free.

The stock one less than 30 days old quit working.... Dang it all.

That's an XL, it is just that big, compare them to soay, the Desert Buggy XL, it's almost as long in length and wheel base, but quite a bit wider, besides.being taller with more belly clearance.

Any thoughts or tuning done to make the x-maxx more crawler-like? Diff oil? Shock oil? Gearing?
Thanks

Take out all the grease or diff fluid front and rear and pack them full of Silly Putty! That will make the most difference.

in something so big you might need more than silly putty.... and can it ever be geared down enough?
