Thumbs down Thinking of getting a traxxas summit

Those of you that have them. What if any issues have you had? What would you change first,I mean what area would you upgrade to make it better? Thanks for your replies in advance.

The only things i ever broke in mine were a couple front driveshafts and a front shock pushrod. And those were all from me being rough on it since i dont think traxxas intended 15-20 foot rock jumps off the side of a wash into the rocks at the bottom.

my friends got one he might sell it hasnt been drove much at all
its pretty awesome i like it alot

only upgrade i think i would do provided i had the money would be to do a different motor esc combo so you can use just one battery at a time to get longer run time. but you really dont need to tho i performs quite well and the selectable diff lock is right on.

Yea, that's probably a wee bit more abuse than those parts were made for

Actually, you can run the EVX2 on a single pack if you make a jumper to put on the non-BEC wire. Pretty easy to make too.

I don't have one of my own but I've driven a friends quite a bit. The seem to be tough as nails and can take some abuse. Nothing has broken on it yet.

All you do is take a TRX female connector and solder each end on a single piece of wire (jumping both contacts together). Think of it as removing the non-bec plug and connecting the red and black wires together. If you make a jumper plug, you can always unplug it and run 2 packs again.
