Default my maxx makeover

well after playing with the tuber set up im deciding to make a diffrent chassie for more of a scale look and my bronko body is going over it i think it is going to be fun to make i bought a sheet of plexiglass and im going to see how well it works out
will post pics as it gose along as i have the next week of for spring break for school

hear is my chassie design i dont think im going to be using the bronco instead my cadi escalade body

pic of my paint skills of my chassie done in like 3 mins

half the chassie plate cut and almost done with sanding


the frunt of the chassie is the longer side of the nose facing that way>>>>>

Good luck with the Plexiglas, I've built a few and there a huge let down. You better brace it like HELL!!!.

I now stay away from building things that need to be relatively strong with the word "GLASS" in it.

I would suggest you use some lexan.

well it is 7/8 inch thick plexi
and i dont think it is going to need anymore braning than what it has i have to add maby one more an thats it

There's no way that's 7/8 thick, It looks more like 1/4". It WILL BRAKE!!

Also why is the tranny mounted so high up?.

becasue idk its they way i mounted it its not a comp rig by anymeans

so i really dont care about cog
and i went and tested the chassie today on some rock i just let the chassie fall down nothing but some scratches came froma 5 foot fall to a cement sidewalk i dont think it is going to break

ok its almost done all it needs is frunt drive line and a way to mount the body and a charged batt its sitting at 16.6 inches and i love it now to the pics




now artic shot i know someone is bound to ask its kinda forced that high but all three tires still touching

and a flat pic you can see the driveline hanging in the frunt lol

haha its alive it moves and it dose better than i expected i need to get a smaller pinion and im ready to go do anything anybody want to give me a 48 pitch 12 tooth pinion

anyway the body is mounted on the side by body post and yp frunt i is mounted by vecro but it might change i dont know

edit: their is no torque twist at all and the ds angle is high but it all works ok

well so far i have done a hardcore test and it has held up but one link broke and it was because the end just poped off so i just put a new ball end on it

and yeah i nose dived it of my bed with is like 3 feet high and nothing broke andi did it in reverse too nothing broke i hope iot hold im hoping to get to the next norcal comp

well evryone its going to get some rock action tomarrow i hope im going to tak it with us to a car show and see what i can throw at it so far i think i need better shocks thats about it and some more luck nuts lmao and that smaller pinion then im set
