| Hub Extension problem?
I've searched the forums, and have been unable to find this information. My question is this... If I were to run hub extensions ( say 18mm ) on my Summit, would I need to worry about the bearings in the steering knuckles getting destroyed? Or even, would I be required to upgrade the stock plastic ones to some HD aluminum knuckles? It seems to me, that the added distance between the rim and the knuckle would create more force on the knuckles, expecially during landing at speed. If anyone has experience with running the extensions, please post. I would like to see if the added width is worth justifying the added cost of the parts. Thanks! |
