? here Is the sumimits top speed faster with the stock 7 cell NIMH packs or runing with two 2S lipo? asking because the voltage is higher with the 7 cell packs.

Top speed is the same, normally you will have more torqeu with lipo's than with stock nimh cause lipo can put more amps to the motor. Also nimh vs lipo with same mah yr runtime wil increase cause lipo's are more efficiently .

I run 5000mah 2s lipos in my summit and get around 6 more mph according to the on board gps I use. It's a noticeable difference. Not to mention 45 min to an hour of run time depending on how I'm using the rig.

a 2s lipo is 7.4 nominal, fully charged 2s is actually 8.4v and is capable of discharging more power at a more consistent rate over a longer period of time than nimh. Its a bigger upgrade on more capable systems than the 775 but I dont know that ive know of anyone who has gone back to nimh after using lipo

Thanks for the input I kind of expected lipo to be better and make the summit faster...have another ? Can i run two 6 cell NIMH packs in the summit? Just want to use those for trail running in low gear...also how much run time would you get with two 3000 packs if you use only the low gear? THANKS |

You will have a loss of power with a 6 cell. Even in low gear. I'm not sure of the run time though. I would stick with the stock batteries at least. And once you go with the lipos you won't want or need anything else.

just used cheapo no name brand 3300 6 cell packs and went up in the mountain they worked fine on low gear and they lasted long as hech...so my GP 3900 6 cells should work great for trail running.

I can tell you to expect 2-3 hours trail time with spc 8200 2s

That's a nice hill!! maybe on high gear it may matter But i only use mine in low for mountain running so it won't matter for me. | |
