Re: post upgrades!!!!!!

One of my favorite cheap upgrades is going with double orange shocks in the rear to eliminate that ridiculous squat lol. Also like the hd slipper clutch way better, seems much more smooth. At some point, sooner rather than later, going to a different 17mm hex hub will be needed. As time goes by the traxxas hubs deform the stub axle and begin to wobble. I use hpi 17mm hexes and I have also dremmeled the threads from the traxxas hubs the simply put a different flanged wheel nut on it, both work well. Getting a quality (mine are ceramic) bearing around the outside of the diffs and on axle carriers is almost needed, seen too many ring gears shredded from blown bearing. Steering servo is a little more money but possibly the single biggest performance upgrade you can make to the truck. Single servo with metal gears is best, stock servos together run about 250oz. of torque so 300+ is best. Personally I generally recommend hitec 7950th, savox 1283sg, or futaba s9157 although its not hard to find a perfectly acceptable servo. Adding a bec goes right along with doing this and going with an aluminum servo saver to handle the extra power. Its not uncommon to see people add a washer to the spring in the servo saver to help translate the torque (dont try this with stock servos). For me I noticed my front push rods were bending after awhile. I went with 5318x pushrods all around but its probably only needed in the front. T-bone front bumper is a bullet proof mod on the front end, Ive seen some angry impacts easily handled by this bumper. With that said i would avoid the a-arm skids, quality didnt carry over. Many people run the dewalt 14.4 motor upgrade ($30ish) speed is similar torque is way better. My summits have gone to tekin rx8/t8 motor esc, with that upgrading the center drive shaft to traxxas steel dogs was made. oh and a light bar on top. Lots more stuff you can do, just a few quick thoughts.

The body is an old proline "helios" wart hog body. That truck was/ is my pride and joy, a custom 4ws rear steer using two melded chassis
