Summit tire chains 4 Attachment(s) I'm sure this has been done before i just couldn't find it anywhere so figured I'd post it. I made a set of chains for the stock tires. I tried the trenchers first but the soft compound on the stock tires seems to work better with the chains. I had elastics on them initially to hold them tight but I just removed one link from each cross chain and they seem to stay on just fine. |
Re: Summit tire chains Nice Job on the chains, I thought About giving that a shot as well. |
Re: Summit tire chains It's pretty easy all I used was the chain obviously, needy nose pliers and wire cutters. Took me about 2 hours to do all 4. |
Re: Summit tire chains i just made some for mine a few weeks ago, turned out good, little tricky on the first one , but after that it was pretty smooth. i think it deff gives them a cool look! mine also took a couple hours and needle nose pliers, i used a diff style of chain from home depot, the jack chain, but im sure it all works about the same! good job luke972 looks good |
Re: Summit tire chains That looks great, good job. That is definitely going to be one of the first mods I'm going to do. We're hip deep in snow already so the chains are gonna help for sure |
Re: Summit tire chains 1 Attachment(s) They work great |
Re: Summit tire chains Looks like someone had fun. How deep does the snow have to be before you can't move with chains? |
