I've already pre-ordered one for myself for a X-mas gift to myself. I hope it is as cool in person as the video makes it look.

I'm going to piss everyone off and take it apart and build a large Crawler out of it using a Custom chassis with a Summit tranny and a buggy body.
But don't worry it will be able to bash, hill climb as well as crawl when it's done. To bad Traxxas didn't think of that!

No, you're going to piss everybody off by spamming every forum with your buggies that nobody wants.

We all are 10 at hart. Some just like differnt things. Take the guy that thinks I'm spamming because I take different parts and build what I like. I find that kinda funny concidering the forum that we are in.
Regardless of what one has or wants to build it is for fun and if there is a problem with that I recomend a different hobby!

Say cheese!

I have a 1/6 scale truck. I would not want the Traxxas style that they offer on the X-Maxx.

Looks like the best large scale basher I've seen yet. The X-Maxx that is.

Thx! It is a cross between scaler and comp because of the custom MOA axles that are under it!

It's not that you build what you like, it's that you never miss an opportunity to post pictures of your builds, even when it's not relevant to the topic. This is a thread about the new X Maxx...what in the world makes you think your moa Jeep belongs here?

I like the new X-maxx. But I see a few problems I don't like.
The steering servo is not replaceable do to it being a non standard size, and mounting type. So if the stock one sucks, and Traxxas stock servos usually do, your just SOL.

Next is the odd motor mounting system. This is going to make it hard, if not impossible to swap in a larger motor like a 1717. That sucks seeing as the stock motor is to low of a KV for the weight of this rig. There are plenty of people running 2200 kv motors on rigs that are close to the same weight.
Last, i'm not a fan of them going away from the Castle ESC. I never liked the stock Traxxas ESCs. They have limited programming options, and take longer to program then a Castle ESC dose.

Only time will tell, but I see this truck for what it is, a basher that will sell well, but may be the first Traxxas vehicle that the aftermarket pays little attention to. And that my kill it in the end. We will have to wait and see. I will not be ordering one any time soon I can tell you that for sure. I am also not a fan of the new pricing system, and will stay away for that reason as well.

Everyone comments on the negatives of a truck that isn't even out yet. Traxxas are a big enough company to.gave done they're research to know what works and what doesn't. At the end of the day it a good fairly tough basher. It's all about fun and longevity. Not everyone wants to md they're new £800 truck.
