Talking 2.2 MAX RIG with PVC AXLES UPDATED!!!!!!

Well i am not done yet but wanted to show yall.
let me know what ya think.

this is the standard flex shot.

Shot from the top shows the chassis lay out, the blue piece is the esc mount.

close shot of the front axle......... yes thay are PVC!

shot of the rear axle

shot from the bottom

just another shot of the front.

i am getting the motor and some moabs along with a new servo.
it has stampede wheels and tires on it right now so the ride hight will be a little more with the new tires.

i used pvc "T's" cut and milled out for the steering knuckels.
4tec hub carriers on all 4 corners.
jato drive shafts in the axles that are connected to spools.
max drive shafts are used for the drive shafts.
revo push rods are used for the lower links bent (actualy i had to bend them so it would make 12.5 w/b).
jato camber links are used for the upper links.
the rx will go in the rear link mount and a 2/3a 6 cell pack will be mounted on the servo in the front.
i should be able to get it running this weekend i will get some action shots if the weather permits.
the final ride hight will be about 1/2" or so lower.

hope yall like it!

Is the PVC attached to the maxx differential with ca or epoxy or is there something I'm missing?

I'm worried about the jato shafts that far down the line in the gear reduction.

DumpsterRC:
Yes the pvc is glued to the diff housing with an industrial grade CA. doing some testing the pvc broke before the joint!

Kamikaze:
I was thinking about that also but we will have to see what happens, there is enough room for max shafts but we will see.

usa1man:

Well i took it for a test run and rememberd that i forgot to one of the diffs was in backwards, so when i took it apart i took some more pics for yall.

I used the ring gear sides of the diff housing for both sides.

this shows the revo drive shafts in the pvc housing.

a shot of the steering

its all back together shot from the rear

front
shows the battery on the servo.

another flex shot

side shot

i will need to get some softer springs to get the ride hight i am looking for, the t-maxx springs are a little too stiff.

hope this helps.

this rig works great!
i made a tuber for it and that started the ball rolling.
i made a better improved version of the axles and they work even better.
the only reason i used the 1" pvc was that it fit over the boss on the diffs and if you noticed i uses 2 ring gear diff sides (the flat side of the houseing).
i used wheely king hubs on this version and they work great.

check out the droop tuber i ended up with the only thing that works better than this rig is my super.

Nice work on the axles! i like the PVC. How are the Wheely King hubs working with the Revo axles ? Did you have to do any modifications to get them to fit?

OOPS!!!!
yes that is of my super, what it is a gear set up that makes the drive shafts turn in Opposite directions, front turns CW and the rear turns CCW, it reduces torque twist!!
