Do you have 4 wheel steer set up? Either way, this is how to get a tighter turning radius on a maxx:

Take off all four axle carriers (pillowball mounts) and use a dremmel tool to shave some of the plastic off from where the pillow ball shaft sticks through. This will allow the pillowball more freedom of movement, thus, tighter turning radius.

shaving the link ends will not give more turning radius...you will need a longer servo horn or find a better place for the servo....as for your chassis twist try different shock possitions

right now my shocks are mounted about an inch higher than the lower link mount, should I raise the shock mount?

I wasn't talking about the link ends. I was talking about the axle carriers/steering blocks part#4932. And yes, it will improve turning radius because I've done it and it works!

it was mounted to the link.down by the ball endon the axle. on the chassis end it was mounted about 1 inch above the lower link. But now it it is mounted to the axle and about 3 inches away from the lower link on the chassis. I had to get some savage shocks because the emaxx shocks were to short, that is why it was mounted on the link instead of on the axle. I haven't ran it since the shock swap but it seems like it will be pretty stable

Ive got to get my front steer set right before I try to tackle the rear steer. I figure once I get the front right the rear should be a sinch. I did do the mod to the tq3 and tested it and it works good. Instead of doing the standard toggle switch on the third channel I put 2 momentary push buttons on and I like better.

here is what I have done so far, give me feed back. I will get some pics asap.
4linked maxx but still needs work on link locations.
evx single motor/battery mod
tq3 mod but no 4 wheel steer yet
gd-600 with titan until lathes get restocked
locked out tranny(1st gear)
locked out f/r diffs
still running original maxx suspension just till I work out all the bugs
wheel base is about 14 inches but probably gonna stretch it out a bit

let me know what you think I need to do
