I use pitbull growler A/T Komp Kompound with 2 stage foams. When I first ordered them I regretted not going with the Rock Beasts and even tried to change my order but they had already shipped. Although I haven't tried the Rock Beasts I love these things they work awesome on every type of rock I've tried and are awesome in the woods on the roots, dirt and loose sand behind my house.

Ok.. Just switched to Hyrax's with PL 2-stage foams.

Absolutely sold on em. Been making lines on slimy river rock that I've never made before.

You won't regret it, Robb... I was amazed at the performance, and they've been wet and muddy all day.

I just picked up two sets. Both Proline. BF Goodrich Krawlers and Interco TSL Super Swampers. I’m eager to compare. I really like the look of the BFGs.

The BFGs look really good on my trx4 Bronco. They mounted up very easily on the Boom racing high mass beadlocks that I used. I am using the stock foams and the foams on the TSL super swampers were so big that I had difficulty mounting them. I may have to cut the foams down.

I use Hyrax on mine with the standard foams. Ran it at the 12 Funduro event in the UK and they were great for the first 3 hours. After that you could tell they were losing grip on the steep stuff and the side hill bits, the tyres were distorting and folding badly. Got the truck home after the event and the standard foams are trashed. I've ordered some Crawler Innovations Li'l Novas in medium for the front and firm for the back. hope these will bring the performance back. The TRX managed 6 hours straight on the track but a particularly heavy fall from 6 feet resulted in a stripped servo horn. This was an aftermarket aluminium part which was clamped to the servo so you can tell the severity of the impact. The shell is split too but that's repairable.

Default Best 1.9 tires

I tried a set of Voodoo KLRs (gold)

Can’t complain at all...stock foams and all

Rig is right at 6.5 lbs and kills lines others can’t make around here, rock or trail

Or maybe it’s just a superior truck....

I use the proline bfg krawler with their closed foams and have really liked them. Great grip. Plenty of flex to bite into the terrain.

I have rock beasts and growlers. Like them both very well. If I had to choose just one, it would be rock beasts because they clean out mud better. Growlers will get slippery when they get muddy

Don't forget about the Duratrax Tires. I use the Deep Wood tires and they are amazing. And they cost like a thrid less then the usual tires.

Here is a whole topic about them

I use the same set on my scx2 and the trx4 and they perform very well on both trucks. I can't compare them directly to rock beast or hyrax or tsl because I don't have these tires, but friends do and I would even say the Deep Woods work better then these (thats is however, totally subjectiv).

I can compare them to the Mad Beast I also use a lot, and they do perform better. But I guess thats also because of the pattern. I just really like the Mad Beast and the SCX2 Kit tires because they look great.

I have Hyrax on my Wraith now - was running PB Rockbeasts. Both are good tires, but I'd have to give the nod to the Hyrax. (Same foams). With that in mind, I just ordered 1.9 Hyrax and wheels for my new TRX-4 Sport! I'd say it's hard to go wrong with them in MOST conditions.

I'm running modded Canyon Trails and they can do everything that the others can do. I've run with other trucks that had Hydrax and Growlers on, and I was right there with em'.

I have no complaints with my stock TRX4 Canyon Trails on VP Method 105 bead locks. I have not yet taken the time to mod them.

You can boil them in water or bake them in an oven (i.e. use heat) to separate the stock tire from the plastic wheel.
