Full size replacement servo for TRX-4 transmission

I've gone ahead and pulled the diff lock servos out of my TRX-4 after one stripped its gears. I cannot buy Traxxas spares at all in Indonesia as Traxxas forbids anyone shipping to here except the official Traxxas dealer who has no online presence and doesn't answer their Hotmail address that Traxxas support gave me. A couple of washers gives me locked diffs now.

I would like to keep the 2 speed. I've already ordered a standard servo mount and now I'm looking for a good replacement servo.

I want waterproof, brushless and metal gears. I see some on FleaBay etc. but would like to see if anyone has good experience with a brand before making the purchase. Any suggestions?

You don't need to use a full-size servo for the transmission. HobbyKing sells the Blue Bird BMS-373MG servo, which is a direct replacement for the Traxxas micro servos, and it has metal gears too. You will need to reprogram the transmitter to reverse the direction of the transmission servos, but that is easy to do. The instructions for that are in the Traxxas user manual for the transmitter.

Here you can see the same servos in my Summit:

Dont you need to set endpoints so you dont burn out the servo? is that possible with this servo?

No, you don't need to set endpoints. The servo savers are quite loose, because they are designed to operate using the servo's factory-programmed endpoints. Also, the servo I suggested is analog, not digital, so it doesn't exert its full force unless the hub is significantly away from the specified position.
