Can you control the rear steer seperatly or is it tied in with the front? also if you can do it seperatly do you loose the reverse fuction?

you either have to get a 4 channel radio to control each steering separate or what most people do is use the 3rd channel of the TQ3 to control rear steer. This will eliminate the use of gear shifting but that isn't really necesarry for crawling anyways. You won't lose reverse. http://www.thecrawlerstore.com/ go there to get a kit to modify your tq3 for independently controlled front and rear steering.

I thought the t-maxx used the 3rd channel for reverse? and the transmission shifted automaticly? any way to add a channel to the controler?

well can't tell ya for sure since i don't have a Tmaxx anymore and can't remember crap about it, but you never asked for the Tmaxx. You do not want to put 4ws on a Tmaxx though, they are still too fast. one little turn and you will do nothing but rollover. if you want 4ws, go with an Emaxx cause 4ws is not meant for speed

oh oh oh oh! I'm sorry. I didn't realize you had said t-maxx. Yeah your right. the third channel is reverse. And like twisted said...Don't put 4ws on a nitro! they are too freakin fast!

You can see the servo mounted in front of the rear tire in this pic. I installed a set of front bulkheads on the rear, custom made a set of chassis braces and made a custom center skid for strength. I ran the servo to a splitter.

It worked great, but was too squirrelly at speed.
