| TRX4 Blazer lights
Anyone know if the bronco light kit will work on the blazer? I emailed Traxxas to find out if a light kit was in the works for the blazer and they don’t have an answer for me. Thanks |

No. The Bronco uses a different headlight mount. I would direct you to MyTrickRC for any light kits. The Traxxas kit is more money and less function meaning no brake, backup or turn signals. The Blazer comes with a plastic backer that can easily be drilled to accept a 5mm headlight LED and 3mm running light LED.

The part number is 8038 but their site doesn't show it available yet. The kit for the Bronco will not work as on the Bronco, the whole headlights are replaced. The Blazer is the same way if you look at the headlights from the inside. I have both trucks so I've seen this. When I got my Bronco it was a few months or so after it was out before the light kit for it was available. Like Inspector86 said, there are other kits out there but not sure if they'd have the headlight assemblies needed. We have to be patient I guess.

Do a search for "Traxxas 8038". They're out there now if you can find a place with them in stock. I found a few from Amazon to a couple of other RC sites. I just ordered a set from Amazon.

I bought my kit from White Rose Rc in PA. Installed it last week. Fits perfectly.

I bought the Blazer light 8038 kit from eBay for $55 shipped. Installed it and it works perfectly. Fit and finish Traxxas does is well thought out. Last edited by GForceSS; 05-10-2019 at 12:06 PM. |

| Re: TRX4 Blazer lights I agree with you on how well the Traxxas light kit goes in. its the same with the Bronco. The wife and I had them both out running the other night. Sorry no pics or video but the two of them running together with lights was very cool.

I am looking for a light kit that is interactive with the rX and does things with your signals and brakes and reverse, etc., BUT I am specifically looking for one that uses a SINGLE LED (on each side) for tail (parking) light, brake light, AND signal ... Have found nothing, yet!

As I stated above, MyTrickRC. As for installing lights in the Blazer the tail and side marker accept a standard 5mm tail, 3mm backup and 3mm side marker. To install a headlight and park light just drill a 5mm and 3mm hole in the plastic headlight backer plate. | |

The front lights and turn signals are not an issue, I've already drilled the plastic backer and inserted LEDs. The white 'reverse' LED's are not an issue. The issue is that there is no way to combine the tail/brake light and the turn signal into the same LED. Yes, both LEDs could be drilled into the same bucket, or even just have their wires twisted together, however, when the brake lights are on, you won't be able to see the turn signals. Also, since you're quick to point to MyTrickRc, I have contacted them directly and asked and this is not a change that can be made at this time, because there's not enough memory space left in the microcontroller that they use. |

IMO, turn signals just look dorky on an RC when crawling. I mean really who signals when off roading in the 1:1 world? For that reason, I only use the brake and back up function of the UF7 light controller.
