Default Trx4 sport 12mm hub extension problem

Hey everyone, I recently ordered some brass 12mm extended hubs for my sport. They fit perfectly but when I put the wheels on, there isn’t enough thread to torque down the wheel nut. Is there an extended axle shaft I can buy or something that will make them fit right?

Thanks guys for all your help.

Barrel nuts? Sorry, still new to the hobby. I’ll try and see if I can look up what you’re talking about.

A few people have said that ordering the bronco axle shafts will make them fit also. So may go that route.

Yeah, well if I were you, I would make sure the part numbers are different before going that route. As far as I know the only difference between the sport axles and the Bronco axles are the locking diffs, and that has nothing to do with the shafts coming out of the portals.
But, do what you want, it's your money.

The Bronco and Blazer portal shafts are indeed longer than the Sport in order to attach the wheel center caps. The Sport portal shaft is 8255 and the Blazer/Bronco extended portal shaft is 8255A.

Cool. Thank you for that info. That’s what I was thinking.

You could also use shift hubs. They have a counter bored hole to make it so the axle you have will work. Counterbored= the hole where the axle comes through the hub is still thin but big enough in diameter to get a wrench in there to tighten the wheel nut. Most have either 3 or 6 bolts to hold the wheel on the hub. I run them on my comp crawler with 2.2 wheels and tires with only 3 bolts and have never had a problem. Good luck
