| You would be proud!
Sup fellas, Yesterday I bought a E-Maxx brand new, today its in a thousand pieces. "The project begins." Pics coming soon. Quick question - my pet pive is the width of the axles in comparison to the bodies. will it kill my crawler to shorten the axles 3" or should I go the 1/6 scale route and stay with the 12" width? yeah you can do whatever ya want.. but the big question is why?? :? unless you going for a smaller scale( like a 2.2) i would keep the 13" width you have.. it adds more stabilty |

I guess thats what I mean I want it to look more to scale. I realize I will loose some stability. I guess I just like the look. Thanks for the input.

| Looks?
I wouldn't Narrow it for Looks but, IMO Narrow is the way to go for Crawling. Wide is So "Last Year"! Narrow with Limited Articulation |

yeah you dont want 90+ articulation... my current one only has like 50 or 55* of articulation and it does just fine |

| 1 axle done
Well, I went ahead and cut it. I took out 11/2 inches from each side. If it perfoms bad I can just replace the arms and axles and be back to stock. Here is a crappy shot from my webcam, my good camera is at work and if I go in to get it they will ask me to work. lol [img=http://www.ephotohut.net/tb/240405120446.jpg] Here is a shot of the frame. I did'nt know the older arms were shorter. It was'nt that hard to shorten them though. I should get the rear end together tonight with links and all hopefully. I will post more pics then.

yeah the old version is like 1" narrower, not 3".. so it really wouldn't have mattered
