Default finally ran it..tranny/takeoff questions(newbie)

well since trading my Tmaxx for an Emaxx,i have been waiting to get the ESC back from Traxxas( which the previous owner paid for) well i finally have ran it today and man this thing has alot or torque

but on other Emaxxs in 1st gear ( stock) can you guys floor it from a start and stand it up? mine will not stand up at all..the thing flies, but just the standing start seems funny..also when i floor it,it sounds like gears are spinning at first,is this normal? ( just seems loud) ...just kinda seems like its slipping as it takes off, then as it goes a few feet, then its like someone hit the nitrous. any ideas?

also, what is the purpose of the slipper clutch? that is the gear w/ the spring and nut holding it on thats between the motors right? or am i just way off

thanks for the newbie help
Jeremy

Tighten up your slipper clutch, that noise you hear may be your clutch set to loose. Try to tighten it and your maxx should flip over backwards!
