Here are some pics of my maxx project. It will be sporting a super rooster, dual 3000 mAh batteries, mag mayhems, 8 tooth pinions, 1/4 scale servos, and Associated GT tires. |

Looks like a set of TXT side plates could be easily cut down to a very similar shape to your mock-up. Might give it a nice finished look. Or maybe I just like cutting up TXTs....... |

My links are made from stainless. I don't remember the measurements though. Will get them soon.

8 is just to much xtra weight. They are good for going fast, but I have no intentions to do that.

Thanks for the reply Jason,,,, I appreciate it ... I'm retired and trying to build a Crawler... I bought a new E maxx. and put single shocks with 70 wgt oil ,, and Trinity Black springs... The articulation is pretty good for a basic stocker... I pulled one motor and one batt pack.. I've been racin R/C for almost 20 yrs now.. Still a lot of fun.. But,, this crawlin looks like it's more my style.. Bein old etc.. Time to slow down .. Anyway.. thnx again for the info.. |

I'm with ya CHSRacing I like the crawl vs. sprint idea for the same reason, so I'm having fun building my shaftie 'Mudhen." I also race R/C sailboats...more time to react and less damage if you zig when you shouda zagged. I recommend it for anyone with less than light-speed reaction time.

Hi Mudhen,,, This ole boy just ain't what he used to be.. I just finished buildin my E... Wish I had a digital camera so I could post some pics ... But,, I know nothing about those things.. so ,, I'll have to have my buddy take the pics and then ,, I'll post em.. I'm buildin another one already .. Those E's are pretty versatile... This one is goin to be 4 wheel steering E-Maxx.. Have the chassis coming ... Should be pretty interesting .. To say the least .. |

I was a sceptic on the Emaxx crawler platform. Until I saw Jason's new crawler. It works very nice. I would highly recommend all of you maxx guys to continue to build them and ask Jason for any input he may have on building them. I believe I may get one as well and start building! Jason: you need to do a write up on all the details of your rig!
