Default Gorilla Maxx Single Speed Tranny

Has anyone seen this tranny conversion? http://www.gorillamaxx.com
May not be applicable because it's second gear, but might be modified for first gear.

I can't link directly to the page that displays the transmission. However, there is a link to the transmission information on the front page and under the products listing. Sorry for any inconvience this may have caused you.

Your kidding me. This is the 2nd idea they 'borrowed from me'. I made one exactly like that 2 years ago, except mine had shortened shafts.

yeah would be pretty cool, but i would rather use the 1st gear instead of 2nd. But i guess you could keep the low gearing with a GD600..

but the thing i wonder is- yeah it seems since your taking parts off and gears out and it would save some weight, but adding that alum piece on just adds that weight back on :?

Wouldn't it be possible to use the gears for first instead of the second ones? That would make it worth the $60, well maybe..........? Just a thought.

yeah but locking your trans into 1st gear, you can already get rid of that stuff if you want. you basically just have a slim piece of alum VS. a bigger piece of plastic. alum. is heavier than plastic

so it probably all balances out, but I don't see me blowin $60 for it
