Looks like a set of TXT side plates could be easily cut down to a very similar shape to your mock-up. Might give it a nice finished look. Or maybe I just like cutting up TXTs.......

8 is just to much xtra weight. They are good for going fast, but I have no intentions to do that.

Thanks for the reply Jason,,,, I appreciate it ... I'm retired and trying to build a Crawler... I bought a new E maxx. and put single shocks with 70 wgt oil ,, and Trinity Black springs... The articulation is pretty good for a basic stocker... I pulled one motor and one batt pack.. I've been racin R/C for almost 20 yrs now.. Still a lot of fun.. But,, this crawlin looks like it's more my style.. Bein old etc.. Anyway.. thnx again for the info..

I was a sceptic on the Emaxx crawler platform. Until I saw Jason's new crawler. It works very nice. I would highly recommend all of you maxx guys to continue to build them and ask Jason for any input he may have on building them. I believe I may get one as well and start building! Jason: you need to do a write up on all the details of your rig!
