Just wondering if anyone uses the stock chassis and arms (not locked)? If so, what do you run for springs/shocks?

Nope, not joking. I have a specific application in mind that uses stock arms and chassis, but I wanted to find out the best stock/sping set up to give enough support to hold up the chassis, but also give maximum (as much as possible) tire contact. Thanks

I've got a big heavy Maxx that is still independent, running the EVX with dual batteries/motors. I run Trinity's "black" springs for the Maxx trucks, they're stiff enough that you'll only need to run 4 shocks. I have them on some Powerline Racing threaded aluminum shocks, filled with 80w oil. I still get full flex without much sagging and I could always pre-load the shocks more if needed.
