| costum rock crawler
Hey guys i started my crawler a couple of days ago after getting some information, thanks to you guys. so i dont plan on spending much money on this so it wont be as nice as most of your crawlers but it will be all custum made prety much. So first i bought a e-maxx roller of my my older bro for really cheap. so i decide to make a solide axels truck, the wheel base and width of the truck is gona be 16" by 16" so il be using the diffs and knucles and driveshafts of the e-maxx and i got some round tubing and made some brakets to mount it all up. il get some pics of that tomorow. ok here are the plans for the rest of the truck- i plan on using a e-maxx transmison with the two speed but i would be changing it from 1st to 2nd by hand cause im using my 3rd channel for the rear steer. il be running a hitec HS-5645MG Digital Super Hi-Torque Metal Gear Servo in the front and rear as my servos and a 55t lathe motor with a mtronik ESC Eco 20 Waterproof w/Rev esc. Il be making a custom tube frame and a costum 4 link suspention. Il be using stock savage tires with modified foams sence i got the tires of my bro too for cheap. ok well that all the information i got for now, if you guys have ideas post em cause im not 100% of what im doing yet. il get you guys lots of pics and information and keep the post updated. joel |

Moved to Maxx, since you're starting to build a Maxx based crawler.

looks cool, so the driveshaft will go through the tubing?, you could just lockout the maxx axels and then you would get way more diff clearance. Quote:
channel 1 - front steering channel 2 - gas channel 3 - rear stear thats how i would do it. are you making a tube frame or are you using chassis plates? colin | |
