| Just thought I would share a few pics of the latest round of mods to my E Maxx. The cage is 3/16" round stock and is brazed together. The roof and hood are lexan and the side panels and aluminum can ![]() ![]() The added tire height helps ALOT!And running them without the foam lets them conform to stuff realy well. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And the driver was my womans idea ![]() |

| Thanks All I did to the suspension was clearance a couple spots on the lower arms for a bit more down travel, fool with shock placement to get the most from the travel, and made the spring tension just barely strong enough to keep it up. I had thoughts of linkin it up but I was out drivin it on my rock pile right now and changed my mind.I had it on its side at over 45* several times and didnt flop. What changed my mind is that I have almost zero body roll comared to linked vehicles I have seen. Im diggin being heavy with a low COG for now so I am gonna work at squeezin some more travel out of the IFS/IRS setup. |

| After foolin around on the rocks for a week or so,most of the tan paint is gone and the beer can side skins have a few dents from trying impossible lines. But the cage will be way more durable in the long run and thats a plus |

| Thanks for the comments guys I prolly got 8+ hours in that cage,I dont think I will be making more.Right now Im gonna have to redo the front of it.I 3 linked the front and the tires hit and I also have to figure out a new way to mount the front of the cage to the rest of the truck. It is brazed together. The attaching points up front are the top 2 screw holes for that brace between the bulkheads. It is sort of a hinge so I can swing the body up to change batts. The rear is held on by the stock rear body mounts and body clips. | Looks very interesting! Where are these huge tires from? What foams do you use? I´m modding my E-Maxx ready for crawling meanwhile and your solution is looking extremely good. I have a set of the original wheels from the HPI Savage. They are perfectely for crawling but the larger diameter of your tires is an unbeatable advantage! Nice work you´ve done there! Manuel Edit: Ok ok, these are tires from the MTA-4. Are they hardly to mount at the maxx-rims? |
