Hey Guys, If you was building a set of custom axles, would you build them to the standard Maxx specs ( stock axles or CVD's ) or would you build them to fit Revo stuff ? Yeah, yeah- dumb question, but I have a reason for asking

I'm in the gathering mode for my maxx based crawler and have both maxx and revo stuff on hand. I'm going with the revo knuckles and shafts, higher tierod mounts and beefier shafts.

one more for revo in case you were still on the fence. I will never build another maxx diff without revo shafts and knuckles. Bombproof. I hate downtime.

I am building a Maxx based crawler. Being my first one I used alot of advise for other members. Not to hi-jack the thread, but how many of you broke Maxx stock knuckles or MIP CVD's... TC said he has no problems... So why you thinking about the change TC???? Your the pro Maxx guy....

never broke stock maxx knuckles, never owned mip cvd's on a maxx. I have owned many brands of cvd's and the maintenance sucks for me- no brand excluded. For me the reason is solely based on simplicity and longevity. I have yet to hear of a single revo shaft breakage or twisting. I am working hard to make it happen though

well I am not the pro maxx guy, thanks anyway But I have only broke one MIP and have ran them for about a year and half and have broke every other thing possible. As Eric mentioned, Revo stuff is cheaper. If you break a MIP, do you want to go blow another $45 just to get one MIP or $10 and go get another Revo shaft? Also as he mentioned, they give you a tighter turning radius... But the main reason I asked, is to see which way the guys was leaning towards. I figured Revo, but wanted to make sure. It's not that I am changing my stuff personally, it's that I am gonna start building these axles finally and selling them ( among other things )

Bout time TC. High clearence axles are the way to go. Have any prices yet? I'm impressed with the revo shafts on the tranny side. I have only ran cvd's on maxx steering just because it works, it's what I had or what came with stuff I bought. I've seen a broken cvd but never a broken revo shaft.
