Default Noob Maxx Question...

Well I don't consider myself a noob to crawling, but new to Maxx's. I'm gonna be getting one in the next week or two and I have some pretty basic mods I'm planning but have a question.

I've searched, done some research, and looked at a ton of pics but couldn't find what I was looking for.

Question is, what is the factory "link" set-up on a Maxx? I see most people 4-link them that are trying to make a decent crawler. Is it possible to get decent articulation with the factory design??

My plans will be- gear reduction, SAS, shock change, servo, spools, and tires for the time being.

I just need to know if a 4-link set-up is a neccesity or just an option...

TIA, Jon

well if your doing the SAS like you said, you have to 4 link it since the axle will be solid

Could elaborate a little, for a noobs sake??

I understand what you're saying, but that doesn't answer the question of the factory design. On a stock Maxx what keeps the axle from moving side to side, rolling, etc.??

A nice close-up pitcure of the axle of a stock one would be awsome. But I'm sure the chances of someone having a stock Maxx around here is slim...

A stock Maxx has 4 wheel independent suspension. The diff is mounted to the frame and upper and lower A-arms allow for suspension movement.
