Default e-maxx with lathes

whats a good gearing for 2 lathe moters on the e-maxx tranns. i want alot of power, but wheel spin to get it out of mud or water. i am also using the 2 speed.

if you want power and wheelspeed then maybe magnetic mayhem motors would be a better choice. Not sure as i have never tried lathes at 14.4 volts but i'd think a 550 mm motor would be better suited.

at 7.2 volts mm motors will give way more wheel speed and good torque too. Look at toyofasts maxx in the crawler gallery i'm pretty sure he is running them.

i asked him and he thinks i should go with the lathe. what turn should i use. 45 or 55

45t would be more speed than the 55t.

Conversely, the 55t would provide more torque than the 45t.

If your looking for wheel speed... track down a Mag Mayhem and hook it to a GD-600. Then play with your gearing untill you have it right. Otherwise go dual 35-turns and slap in a 9 tooth pinions and a 8 cell pack.

ok, i think i might go with a 35 or 45. i hear alot of good thing about the lathe motors, so i am going with those.
