Is it possible to run a E-Maxx in the 2.2 class with the older narrower a-arms? Will they be in the required 12.5 inch length with 2.2 Moabs? The newer wider version A-Arms are too wide.

buy the time you put tires on, you will more than likely be to far out. Can't remember for sure, but i think the narrow version is 12". so you have 1/2" to mess with.

Last year I turned my Maxx into a 2.2 wheeler... Only tire worth running on a Maxx based 2.2 is the Imex All-T's. One major issue is the size of the Maxx knuckles, they don't fit into a 2.2 sized wheel. Even with 'Pede rears they just don't fit. The knuckles are just too freaking big. Custom knuckles would be needed. Here's how my old Maxx(non-2.5) looked running 2.2's.... ![]()

I think a good way to build a 2.2 based Maxx diff setup would be to offset the Maxx diff as much as you can and run either Maxx sliders or Jato sliders for axles. You'll have to come up with some sort of axle stub and knuckle setup but I'm sure there is enough RC parts out there that one could mix-n-match to make it work. Maybe a similar knuckle setup as one would use if building a 4wd 'Pede. Then fitting the 2.2 sized wheels wouldn't be as big of an issue.
