Default Lengthening Wheelbase, on stock chassis Emaxx

I know what your gonna say why not build a chassis! No time

Hi, Im still kinda new to the Emaxx platform. (Im an old RC10DS pan car racer) I bought my EMaxx used from ebay what a mistake it was, it has been abused big time I'd broke 4 axles before I could have my fun.

I have spools in the front and rear, RDLodgics Spikes, Revo shafts and knuckles swap and inline servo saver ball bearing steering conversion.
I want to try keeping the truck chassis as close to stock as possible because I still want to be able to sky it occassionally, and zip up a 60+ Degree incline. Im tired of tipping over trying to get past big boulders. I may build a tube chassis sometime but for now I like to beat the dirt.

I wanted to know if anyone here has lengthened their Emaxx stock chassis.

I welcome pics or illustrations and some instructions on how to go about this, ya can email em to me or post em here, whichever.
I searched for a hour and couldnt come up with anything.

i don't think there is a way to make it longer but just moving something on the maxx chassis itself. I think you will have to mod something up for it no matter what. if there are anything for it then, I do not know about it and have not seen it here. Maybe some others will now what to do but I do no hae a clue on what to do.

I never figured out a way to lengthen it with out making seriuos mods to the chassis. Just kinda the way traxxas designed the chassis, not adjustable.

You could make some small flat alumin. pieces to mount in the upper and lower spots where the chassis connects to the axles to lengthen the WB some. There's a guy on here that had a set made for just the rear for sale but I can't remember his name.

Note that depending on how long you make them you may have to account for the driveshaft lengths. You shouldn't have to change anything else...

I believe I am the person RANOVRU is referring to. Yes I made an extension for my EMaxx. Its 1.5" longer than stock bringing the wheelbase to 14". Seemed to make it more stable for jumps and a little loose in the corners. Takeoff was better and it was more stable in the rough. It is for sale if you want it. I figured out how to do it finally, after my buddy did it, we are using the front skid plate mounted to the rear end to make it longer, and using a suitable peice of plastic to tie the chassis together on top. just ahve to make a bend to make the whole thing work. I am going to try mine with the alloy skid plate to see how it works..........

RPM makes the set my buddy used and they really do seem quite stout-should handle everything we can throw at them. Except me, I usually break something everytime I go out, exploding shocks, shattering bulkheads, bending titanium hinge pins 3 ways..........

If you have money, you can buy the Hardcore racing extended chassis for the Tmaxx and adapt it to fit.
