| Does anyone have any drawings or plans of a cheap chassis for a maxx crawler? Im really tight on cash, and i am limited to a hacksaw and metal file for my tools. I have some ideas of my own, but honestly i dont even know if they will work. Some help would be greatly appreciated. |

| Go up to the tool bar an click on search. Then type in "chasis". There are many threads on this. The Mantis is a popular one right now and for $170 it's not an "absurd" price if you don't want to build every piece of your rig, but it can be done for much cheaper. I've got about $30-40 into mine including chasis/links/mounts. |

| That's the basic route I'm taking....Mnster has a simple plan, that can be modified n any number of ways to suit the individuals skill, budget, and tool situation. Just start checking the site classifieds and ebay for "deals." Everyone I've talked to here has been 100% helpful, just do your homework, and wear out the search button....there is a ton of info already archived....just look for it. If ya can't find it....ask. as far as what you have for tools, don't think your limited. i bet most people here built their first chassis with those same tools, although i hope you can atleast add a drill and a ruler to that list lots of pictures everywhere in this site. search around, look at pics and come up with something that says this is mine and mine alone. don't give up either. people here will help you with your ideas but they probably aren't gonna just give you everything, unless you buy it from someone. | |

| Yeah, ive been a member on here for a bit but i didnt start posting until recently, i know it says im a noob on here, but to rc in general im no noob, i know my stuff. Ive been looking through all the threads on here about maxx crawlers for the past couple weeks, and ive been trying some design ideas of my own. Looking through all the threads has really helped, and i think im going to go for soya's design, the 1/8 3 inch tube, but instead im going to use 2 inch, or try to use 2 inch, its all i have. ill let you guys know how its commin along. thanks for the help. |
