In most of the sections of this forum there are lots of useful 4 link setup tips. Check out the general crawler section....I think there are some stickies there about it. Here's how I'm doing mine:
Double triangulated (Both uppers and lowers triangulate to hold axle centered)
Links as long and as horizontal as possible, within reason of course.
About 1" of vertical separation at frame end, 1/2" or so more at axle end.
Tends to work well when uppers are anywhere from 75-100% as long as lowers....too much shorter and the pinion will rotate a lot as the suspension cycles, and there will be more binding in the suspension when it gets twisted up.
Rear links should be longer than front links.
etc

There are a ton of different setups you can do, and there are lots of advanced calculations to do most of em. It gets really tricky on fullsize rigs, but RC vehicles aren't as crucial, plus they don't behave in the same ways. It's usually a good idea to have some built-in adjustability for fine tuning.

when i built mine I did what most people would call a major screw up, I made my rear links shorter than the front, turns out to work great for me, something I would recommend though and what Ill be doing on my next project, make all of your uppers the same length and all of your lowers the same length, that way you only have to carry 2 spare links, instead of the way i did it with 4 different lengths of linkslook around and play around, what works for other might not work for you
