Default Is this TMAXX any good?

I found a TMAXX for sale today. It is the original one with a .12 motor. Can anyone tellme if this is any good? Can I make this into a crawler? If so, what do I have to do? What is different from the original one to the one they make today? I am getting this for $100

Thanks
Dima

well the Tmaxx comes with a .15 motor ( even my earlier style one i had). i traded mine off for an Emaxx since electric is better for crawling..you will get sick of the tuning that it seems to need everytime you run it and will get tired of starting it again after it rolls over( if you don't flip it back over quick enough) my Tmaxx was more of a PITA than anything for what i wanted to do..

as far as the difference between the early version and the "now version" is not much difference..they say it has the new bigger 2.5 motor, but actually the 2.5 motor is still a .15 motor... the suspension is set the same except that it is about 1.5" wider ( same with Emaxx)
