Default axle reduction

I was wondering if there is any place i can get a better ring and pinion for the maxx axle. something that will give me more reduction.

and what is the stock ratio for the maxx axle?

Not with the stock diff cases. I have a mate who installed 1/8 buggy diffs which opened up a whole range of R&P ratios plus they are a lot more robust than maxx diffs as they have much stronger spider gears which is where the maxx diffs really fall down. You can also get torsen LSD type centres for buggys. They might work OK on a crawler without needing to run a spool or lock the diff gears.

I have installed RRP ring and pinions in my diffs and they are much stronger and better machined than stock gears but retain the same ratio.

Stock ratio is 3:1
