Default Run times

What kinda run times are you guys getting?

I'm only getting about 10 minutes of run time :( I'm using Team Orion 3000 stick packs. Are these any good? Are the side by side battery packs better for any major reason? Would they increase run times.

My charger is probly not the best but it works I guess. It takes about 45 minutes to charge 1 stick pack. So,1 1/2 hours of charge for 10 minutes of driving is getting REALLY old.

I'm thinking about trying to run 2 batteries with one motor to see if that helps. Would it even work?

Oh,one more question. My Maxx is ALL stock right now. If I gear it down real low, will it increase or decrease run times? I'm kinda thinking it would increase run times.

Thanks

me and my buddy use pro performance 3000 batteries and as long as we were not racing, we would get 25-30 mins runtime. on my son's stampede,he gets right about the same. but if he is racing his around, then he only gets about 10-15 mins.

as for the one motor deal,i couldn't tell ya.. maybe i was just having other problems. but when both my motors got smoked,i was running 2 batteries and one motor. don't know exactly what was going on, but after that, that is when my ESC died

once I get my crawler up and running I'll time a run and see how long it will go.

I had some decent 3000 batteries and was getting crappy run times out of them. Like 10-15 minutes. I couldn't figure out why, so yesterday I finally went and bought a good charger, I discharged them , they charged them, went out to give it a try and I was able to drive my truck hard for 45 minutes!

I was really shocked how much of a difference a charger could make.

Thank you Jason,I was starting to think of maybe trying a better charger. My father in law is a wiz with electronics, where I'm a big dummy with it. He's done all kinds of engineering and stuff. He just amazes me with his knowledge. I wonder if theres a way to bump my charger up to be a little better.

Do you have your rig geared low? Mines all stock,do you think lower gears would help run times?
