Default Telluride scale rig (attempt 1)

Straight out of the gate here is some eye candy...

Basically I mixed some Stampede 4x4 into my Telluride roller I bought as well as some spares from my SCX10 Dingo and exo terra (wheels) with trencher tires. It all married up with a Pro-Line 1991 Jeep Cherokee body I picked up at my local hobby shop "Pete's R/C Hobbies" in Dallastown, PA.

Here are a few more pictures...

The tires tuck up nicely with no rubbing and the VXL system is more than enough power. Over all it goes flat out like a scalded dog, hill climbs like a rock bouncer, and provides for some "spirited" trail running. Picture SRT8 Cherokee on the trail....

Future plans are to do the HPI gear reduction, rear locker and some 100K front diff fluid to make it a little more crawl then speed demon.

Well I like it. I've been looking at using one of these or a stampede 4x4 as a base for a semi-scale build. Looks good

Cheers,
Wade

I have used one for my Wife and kids. Works great. Put 2.2s off my Wraith on it. Puddy in the axles to lock them up. Put a 27T motor in it. Now the truck just works. Wife and kids beat on it and it just keeps going. Been a great trail truck.

Looks great! I have often thought about picking up a telluride and doing this to it. Love the look.

Very nice with the cherokee body on there I havent seen that before, I went with the JK body but I need to trim fenders for it to look right. Arctic Fire I think the one you posted is actually a stampede they are trying to make look like a telly (still has stampede arms and such).

I'm running--

Proline JK body
Exo front wheels/tires all around
proline bumpers
silicone ear plugs for limit slip rear

It is much better with the limit slip in at but I still want to gear down with either a hpi GRU or stampede brushed diffs.

Correct, they are stock axial dingo sliders. I drilled two mounting holes per side on the tub. The battery side of the tub I used button head hardware with the nut on the outside. Did that for proper battery fitment.
