| Crawler Innovations "Maxx Basher"
I bought this truck in a lot of RC's at an estate sale last year. The truck has sat around the shop, at times annoying me from being in the way. It was too cool to me to part out, and every time I looked at it, I thought to myself how fun it would be to finish and drive. Quick back story on the RC lot, the former owner was an engineer, and a former alcoholic. He used RC to replace his drinking and would be build RC's of all kinds continually on his down time. There were several home made RC creations in the lot and this was one of them. Here is how it looked at first; As you can see it was already a running RC. Not very fast or strong, but running. It used a modified Kyosho trans axle from vintage RC. The front and rear axle are stock e Maxx open diffs, and suspension. The lower chassis rails are steel bar stock, the uppers is a mix of plastics. ..Uploaded from the lab @ the C.I. Compound... |

Running! ETXRCC had a get together yesterday to test five new yetis. I brought this along and have video of it, the yetis, the other rigs and all the other fun. I'll post a video once I get it edited up. HPI metal gear RTR servo Overkill RC flysky tx & RX Holmes Hobbies BRXL ESC Holmes 13T Pro Motor I'm running on either 3S or 4S. 4S is lighter and more speed, 3S is a bigger pack for longer run time. ..Uploaded from the lab @ the C.I. The axial trans is locked, but both the diffs are still open. The open diffs help to keep broken parts to a minimum. The truck is a lot of fun to drive. ..Uploaded from the lab @ the C.I. Compound... |

Looks innovative bare bone! How come no 2sp? Is that due to the custom chassis?

| Re: Crawler Innovations "Maxx Basher" The Maxx basher did not travel as fast or jump as high as the yetis, but at the end of the day... the yetis had all been broken and repaired multiple times while this home made beast is RTR anytime :-D Quote:
It is definitely bare bones and thanks. I don't have the traxxas 2 speed and I don't have a rc3wd 2 spd either. Besides, I wanted a transmission I could beat on. I jumped this truck off a 20ft ledge several times and it soaked it up no problem. For a home made basher, it held up well, was driven/bashed by several people and is ready for more. ..Uploaded from the lab @ the C.I. Compound...

Looks like a decent lightweight rig to bounce around with. What's the weight of it? |

Looks are deceiving because as pictured above it's 8 pounds 12 ounces in weight RTR with a small 4S lipo. It is and thanks. ..Uploaded from the lab @ the C.I. Compound...
