Question: do any of you know what the tread size is on rod ends? i lost the only one the other day and cant find it. the screw was pretty small so i tried using the next size up and turns out that the hard ware store doesnt have that particular size. what sizes have any of you guys used?

thanks

what rod ends do you have?
traxxas rod end are 3mm and 4mm (that means a 3mm or a 4mm screw will thread into them).

well i make my own links and i use 6-32 type screws put some lock tight and screw them into the link then cut the head of the screw and the traxxas rod ends go right onto them.
if you are using aluminum links you can go to any hardware store and get a bit and tap for 6-32 for about 3 bucks simply drill out the hole you allready have in your link and re tap it with the 6-32 thread

ps if you need more info pm me i will try to explain more clearly

so I can use basically any tread with the traxxas rod ends but i will need the right size of tap and bit as long as it fits in the ends of my aluminum rod. i will just have to cross tread the rod ends and use some tread lock.

thanks guys

it depends on what size thread you plan on putting in the rod end.
