it has links on it so they act like limiters, and how he has his setup, it uses huge ballends to connect the axles and they can only twist so far, so either way, he could easily have 75 or more degrees of flex. I say go rock pleazer for this, they are such an awesome body :-P

No it is not max flex. It will goes past 90 up until the drive shafts bind up on the center shaft. I was running it some tonight and will be installing shocks tomorrow just to limit the flex. I will most likely run dual rate springs and a light oil.

The rod ends are only on the links not on the shaft itself. The shaft is free to spin 360 degrees. The links will allow the shaft to rotate and with both ends free to turn you are going to the limit of all four ball ends. I figure that each rod end has about 25 to 30 degrees of movement in them. Take that into account by the time they max you will have 100 to 120 degrees of rotation. The links only lock the shaft from sliding front to back and to add some strength to the design which it doesn't really need. I am going to mount shocks tomorrow to limit the flex.

How does it act as for keeping the axles parallel? Maxxes can really torque things.

It doesn't suffer from much torque twist. My biggest problem right now seems to be my lathe motor stalling out. I still need to fine tune the layout and I will be adding some shocks to limit flex and fight what torques twist there is.

The build sort of got pushed to the back burner with summer holidays and reno work to the house. Now that the long weekend is over I should have more time to get back to building. I have soem chances in mind for the future.

Use a ruler to set the length and

an angle gage to set the angle.

By drilling the washers and cutting the rods a little longer than what I needed I was able to clamp the extra on the ends into a vise.

By installing your knuckle the other rod is automatic set to the right angle and offset. I brazed my rods and the heat had no affect on the plastic knuckle.

I'm wanting to build axles as well. What angle do I set these up? Also , How long are they?

Thanks,
