Default What Would Happen?

I was wondering what would hapen if I put a 48 pitch spur gear on an E-Maxx tranny. I'm wondering this because I have some really fast motors in my Maxx and I'm trying to go with the lowest gear ratio to try to slow it down.

ThanX,

There are 87 teeth. What exactly is a GD600 and where can you get one?

I also have a 72 tooth spur gear. It works well but the motor is Jhonson 550 size motor and it has more torque and rpms plus it's faster than the stock 550s. So I'm trying to get the lowest gear ratio so I get the torque and rpms, but not the extra speed. How do you install a GD600?

It bolts onto your moterplate, where the moter goes, then your moter bolts to it. you will have to turn down the output shaft of the gd600 to accept a stock pinion. if you do not want to turn it down yourself I can help you out. I had one layin around here for a spare that was ready to go, but I can't seem to find it.

Thanks for the info. I'm not real sure how to turn down an output shaft, so help would be appriciated.

if you have access to a lathe you could have somebody do it. If not you could stick it in a drill press a file the shaft down to 1/8. Your other option is drill out the pinion.
