Anyone build a 3 link rear suspension with torque arm like Nth Degree's 1:1 suspension? ![]() http://nthdegreemobility.com/catalog...roducts_id=171 The lower control arms are standard, but the torque arm rides next to the rear driveshaft. This arrangement offers some advantage to climbing hills and steep obstacles. I'm thinking about giving it a shot instead of the same ol' -same ol' 4 link rear. A trackbar would have to be added to center the axle, or triangulated upper links. It would at least help with squat problems, I think. Any thoughts on that?

I've seen a few rigs with a 3 link setup like that. they run an upper maxx arm with the knuckle end on the axle and the bulkhead end in between the chassis.

I thought about that maxx arm again and it isn't quite what I was thinking. The maxx arm really is just triangluated upper links with the point of the trinagle ahead of the rear axle. The torque arm prevents axle wrap on leaf sprung vehicles and helps coil sprung vehicles keep traction in hill climbs and other situtations. Anyway, I'm going to give it a shot. And I probably will use the upper maxx arm for my rear upper control arms. Thanks again for that idea.

no problem. it could prevent axle wrap if it was used between some leaf springs.
