Default Diff help

I am building a maxx crawler and I have installed spools. My question is about my e-maxx which I am making more of a trail rig, If I put really thick grease in the diff will it give me a limited slip effect? If anybody has done it please let me know what you used and how well it worked. Thank you for your responses.

When I put spools in my diffs, I didn't put any grease in them and they have worked fine since I put in the spools. But thats just what I did.

the heavy grease will tighten the stock diff up a little, i used 1:1 wheel bearing grease for a while then went full lock....give it a shot not going to hurt anything

I made that question sound wierd. I am asking if i can get a limited slip action from my stock open diffs if I put in thick grease.

yes, but!

thick grease will not be thick anough, i packed mine with green bearing grease on my savage nitro and it does the same as normal open diffs. I used 300k sillicone diff grease. man that stuff is soo sticky you can almost make a ball with it between your fingers. the only bad thing about that stuff is that it breaks down easily, but i used it in a 50 mph+ going truck i might hold up longer in a crawler/trail truck.

its made by AE (team associated) its 300K weight silicone "gear diff lube" i think you have anough info to find

I think I remember reading about some grease that Tamiya makes that is for diffs, and It is supposed to work well for giving an almost locked affect.

the problem with useing 300k oil is that the maxx diffs are not a sealed diff and it will leak out.

I am talking about to different trucks. I already have spools in my rock crawler, I am building a trail rig with the other truck. I want to get a limited slip action from the trail rig not locked, but it looks like there really isnt a good way.
