yea i know its been asked 1000 times but i'm building a maxx crawler right now, and i built one be4 with a 55t lathe with 17t pinion and i didnt like it that much. i want to have decent amount of torque but with plenty of wheel speed when i needed it. so i was looking at a 35t or 45t going to a gd-600 cuz i'm using a tmaxx tranny and the gd has plenty of gearing options. can someone who has ran a motor combination similar to this tell me how it worked i'd appreciate it a lot. thanks.

i ran 11/72 with a GD600 2.5:1 and a trinity 19x1. it has low-end torque and good wheel speed. Try running a 7 cell battery to get more torque.

I run pretty much the same as east coast, 9/72 with a gd600 at 2.5:1 using a stock 550 titan motor. I also run 7 cells. With the gd600 stay away from the lathe motors, they are too slow. I would look for a 19+ single turn motor. I believe the titan is a 21 turn.

The Novak Crawler Brushless System cured my problem with the lack of torque and speed in my Maxx crawler. It also snapped all four of my CVD's, so now I am running Revo shafts and knuckles.
