I'm not sure if this is the place to post this question, but I have a stampede tranny and T-Maxx diffs, is there a way to get a driveshaft from the tranny to the diffs? Would a Jato drivshaft work with some modifications? Also the wheelbase is gonna be longer than a 2.2 with a stampede tranny will there be a length issue with that size of driveshaft? Any help would be great thanks.

As to whether this is the correct forum depends on what ur building. But most people on here won't hold back any information anways, even if it isn't for a crawler. Now on to an answer: I am placing a stampede tranny in a tmaxx chassis (custom upper deck) using the stock driveshafts that normally run from diff to hub carrier. These driveshafts are going to run from the tranny to the diffs at front and rear of vechicle with no length problems, like you are saying i think.

I also have a stampede tranny in my TXT setup. Wheelbase is 17 inches using revo driveshafts. Thats pretty long, not much more than 1/4 inch of insertion, but no problems. They don't fall out and they handle the torque. Just giving you some more comparisons since I don't know exactly what your building or exactly how long of a span you are covering.

I am in the same spot. I haven't tryed to do it yet though. I have a full set of diffs from a e-maxx and would like to use my stampede tranny to build a crawler. Can I use the outer long driveshafts from the e-maxx with a stampede yoke to the tranny side? Last edited by bro460; 04-21-2007 at 10:04 PM. Reason: clarification

You can use the E/T-Maxx outer shafts to go from the Stampede transmissinon to the diffs. For the Pede Transmission side, you need to make sure that you are using Maxx Diff out put yokes, not the Maxx Trans yokes. Just grind down the back edge so the hole for the screw pin on the yoke will line up with the screw pin hole on the diff. Here is a pic showing a stock yoke compared to the modified yoke for the Pede trans. ![]() Sorry for the blury pic.
