this may be the dumbest question on RCcrawler, but here it is anyway. Is it possible to hook up a rear dig system or something that works like it on a maxx to get sharper turns than you can get with 4ws? Maybe something to lock the gears in the axle instead of killing power to a motor? Anyideas.

You mean front diff dont you? where the front tires are turning and the rear is locked. RC4wd is coming out with an R2 with rear driveshaft disconnect with break. That would take care of it. if you had the money

yes, people make rear driveshaft disconnects..Also, I tried cutting the main output shaft in the trans and using the shifting fork, to keep the dig "internal" inside the trans, but it had a hard time lining back up.. My new super truck I am building will have dig on it

dont the gears in the axles in the maxxs' turn easier than the gears in a clod? for example if you put an emaxx on an incline it will just roll down, if you do the same with a clod it will stay put. Wont the rear wheels turning freely not allow the front to "drag" the truck around without the rear wheels just following the front? or are people locking the rear somehow and disconnecting the driveline. I don't do much modifying of the E-maxxs' I have just got my brother into crawling and he wants to go with the maxx he has. Whats the first mod youd do (with limited funds, but very good with hands and tools) to prepare a maxx for the rocks. Thanks for the help guys.

sounds like you need a DIG slider . go to the TLT threads , do a lilttle lookin for my build on THE HUSTLER . there you will find a REVO type slider . We used the smaller center shafts to do it , but I know Jeff has made one setup for the bigger shafts so it can be done .

| Hey man, I did rear dig inside the maxx tranny. Its the ultimate setup. Works flawlessly and its 100 times more durable then the driveshaft method. The answers are here. You just don't know how to look for them. Don't get mad at me for you posting a question that has been talked about and solved before. Work on your searching skills and it will help you greatly. I was not being a dick, it really IS THAT EASY. It makes no sense for me to type it all out again when it is already in another thread. .......Some peoples kids.
